The Impact of Family Giving

Every year, BBA families are asked to participate in the Annual Fund for Burr and Burton, raising vital budget dollars for the people and programs at the heart of a BBA education, and making a powerful statement of support for our school.

Your gift to the Annual Fund goes directly to our operating costs, benefitting your student today and setting an example of generosity and investment that our school--and our community--need to thrive. 

Every gift counts.

While leadership gifts of $2,500 or more represent large strides toward achieving our annual goal, gifts of every size are important, and no gift is too small to make a difference. In asking families to go All In for BBA, we ask you to make the most impactful gift that is comfortable for you, and to send the message that, together, our community believes in education for all.

  • Give Online

    Use our secure online giving form to make a single or a recurring gift and pay with a Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or via Paypal or Venmo.

  • Mail a Check

  • Call with a Credit Card

  • Give through a Donor Advised Fund

    As a qualified 501(c)(3), Burr and Burton Academy is eligible for grant support from donor-advised funds (DAFs). To recommend a gift from a DAF, contact your fund administrator with your gift recommendation; you may need to share our name and federal tax ID:

  • Make a Stock Gift

    Gifts of securities are an easy and tax efficient way to give.

    Please contact the Advancement Office at 802-549-8110 for stock transfer instructions and to notify us of the incoming gift.

    To ensure our ability to promptly acknowledge your gift, it is important to provide the name and address of the donor, type of securities, number of shares, and intended date of transfer.

  • Make a Wire Transfer

  • Matching Gifts

    Many employers offer matching gift programs to maximize the impact of charitable giving.

    If your gift is eligible for an employer match, please work with your employer's matching gift administrator to facilitate that additional gift. If you need any information from Burr and Burton, please contact the Advancement Office at 802-549-8201.

  • IRA Rollover

    If you are 70.5 years old or older, you can give up to $100,000 per year via an IRA rollover. These gifts count toward your minimum annual distribution and are not counted as taxable income.

    Simply contact your IRA administrator to discuss making a qualified charitable distribution to Burr and Burton.
