Burr and Burton is an independent high school with a public mission and a global reach.
Each year, students from just down the street and halfway across the world come together at Burr and Burton. Together, we make connections and discover passions that we build our lives on. Together, we build relationships based on care and challenge one another to reach new heights.
With nearly 180 academic courses, 40 clubs, and 37 athletic teams, you will build on interests you already have and find things you didn’t even know you were looking for.

Local Enrollment and Admissions:
Through a unique system, which has been in place for over a hundred years, a Burr and Burton education is available free of charge to high-school students who reside in the following sending towns: Manchester, Dorset, Danby, Dover, Londonderry, Landgrove, Mt. Tabor, Peru, Stratton, Sunderland, Wardsboro, Weston and Winhall.
