Juliette Britton '89

Juliette has made a career combining two of her passions:  fine arts and business. After graduating from Burr and Burton, Juliette earned her bachelor of fine arts from the Maine College of Arts and pursued a career in venture capital and non-profit management. Her work included supporting venture capital firms Highland Capital Partners, First Light Capital, and Lang Ventures LLC. Her non-profit work has included Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Operation Frontline, and A Taste of the Nation.

She and her husband, Tim, purchased and refurbished J.J. Hapgood General Store and Eatery in Peru in 2013 stewarding the space back to its original purpose as a beloved grocery store, eatery, and community gathering space. Juliette’s entrepreneurial and community-minded spirit drives many of her daily business decisions at J.J. Hapgood. “The thing we really accomplished by rebuilding this space is restoring the store’s historical function - giving the community back its gathering space.”

Juliette serves on the Development Committee for Weston Theater Company and lives in Peru.
