Beginning and Ending Well
The rituals of the school year's end are well under way at Burr and Burton, featuring traditions both new and old. Behind us, we have our second annual Senior Car Parade, Senior Bell Ringing, and the Prom–and ahead, we have Scholarship Night and Burr and Burton's 188th Commencement. This year, even more than others, it's been a community effort to get to these milestones, and we're so glad to be able to give the class of 2021 the senior experience they deserve.
We're also delighted to be getting back to the business of Reunion on September 24-25, 2021—and bringing the event back to campus! Details and tickets will be available on July 1; watch the Reunion Weekend page and your email for Reunion news!
And don't forget to keep us posted on your Alumni News! Remember that Class Notes are now featured in The VIEW Magazine—get your updates into the summer issue by emailing alumni@burrburt on.org
Bromley for Bulldogs
In the early days of a vibrant summer, it takes a lot to make Vermonters look forward to the next winter.
But that’s exactly what the team at Bromley Mountain does each spring with free ski passes for students who’ve made the Burr and Burton Headmaster’s List for the year.
Megan Beattie-Cassan ‘99 knows Burr and Burton from multiple angles: She’s an alum, she’s the current school nurse, and next year, she’ll also be a BBA parent. As the school nurse in the time of a global pandemic, Beattie-Cassan’s expertise has been critical to both BBA’s reopening in the fall of 2020 and the successful prevention of the spread of COVID on campus. This year, Beattie-Cassan was honored with a Rowland Chair, which is granted to staff who are innovative, inspiring, and committed to the mission and vision of BBA.
