  • Burr and Burton is a town academy that serves the public.

    Students who reside in a sending town can attend free of charge. Sending towns vote every year to approve the school's tuition, which is paid through state property taxes. 

    Sending Towns:
    Danby, Dorset, Dover, Landgrove, Londonderry, Manchester, Mt. Tabor, Peru, Stratton, Sunderland, Wardsboro, Weston, and Winhall


    Admission is also open on an annual basis to students from other towns, some of which historically pay the state average tuition per student, also through state property taxes. For more information on tuitions and financial aid, please see our Tuition and Financial Aid page.
